Margot Govers is WestNet Tax Accounting’s Director and CEO. Her responsibilities include leadership, staffing, AML, and product development. Margot started working while studying at university – Margot is a qualified teacher. She continued working for WestNet Tax Accounting over the years on special projects and staff training. In 2013, Margot joined WestNet Tax Accounting full-time after returning to New Zealand from living overseas, becoming a director in 2017.
When not working, Margot enjoys spending time outdoors in New Zealand and further afield. She loves travelling and experiencing other cultures, as well growing her own vegetables and reading.
Liz West started her professional life as a legal secretary. While her children were growing up, she worked in a number of part-time roles, including in the accounting industry. In 1999 and while studying some business and accountancy papers, Liz joined Nettie Burton Taxation. In 2011, Nettie Burton Taxation became WestNet Tax Accounting and Liz became a director and shareholder.
Liz is a keen cyclist and has cycled many of New Zealand’s best-loved offroad trails. She has recently taken up lawn bowls, while also counting quilting, sewing, and knitting as hobbies.
Amanda Hunter is WestNet Tax Accounting’s Admin and IT Manager. She started her career with Nettie Burton Taxation, the predecessor to WestNet Tax Accounting, over 15 years ago as an office junior. With on-the-job training, she worked her way up to her current role and has experience preparing full sets of accounts for customers across all industries.
Outside of work, Amanda is passionate about acting, writing, and criminology, and has taken up a new hobby of rock climbing to overcome her fear of heights. She recently completed a Masters degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice at Auckland University of Technology.
Regina Henning is a qualified Senior Accountant with over 25 years of working experience. Regina holds a Bachelor of Business degree in accounting and finance, and she has worked in a number of different roles throughout the years in many different industries. This breadth of experience enhances the service that we offer to clients. Regina is also WestNet Tax Accounting’s Operations Manager, as well as being responsible for marketing and sales.
When not working, Regina can be found on her motorbike or e-bike, travelling and enjoying New Zealand’s wonderful outdoors. She also likes cooking for and entertaining family and friends.
Kate Robinson is WestNet Tax Accounting’s receptionist, providing a friendly face and exceptional support for both customers and colleagues. Kate worked in a number of roles before joining the WestNet Tax Accounting team. Her responsibilities include managing annual questionnaires of customers, managing documents, and sending out customer accounts. Kate also answers the phones, so she will likely be the first person you speak to when you call WestNet Tax Accounting.
Kate has a young family that keeps her busy. In her spare time, Kate loves keeping fit and enjoying the local beaches and walking tracks of West Auckland.
Originally from the Netherlands, Nettie started working in the textile industry before returning to education. She then started working for Income Tax Professionals before going on to start her own business. That business would become WestNet Tax Accounting.
Nettie retired in 2018, but she still stays involved in WestNet Tax Accounting while dividing her time between family, Glen Eden Baptist church, and charity work for VisionWest, a local charity that supports the community through a foodbank, counselling, and budgeting support.
